Description:
Cañon City, the climate capital of Colorado, has one of the widest varieties of location sites found anywhere in the United States, from desert plains to 14,000-foot mountains, ghost mining towns, frontier ranch and cattle towns, roundup camps, high mountain peaks and low rambling foothills. A few miles to the east lie broad flat plains unmarred by fences or habitation. These give way to the foothills covered with brush, juniper and piñon, followed by fir and pine-clad slopes of snow-capped, timberland peaks. There are mountain parks, lush spring-fed meadows, roaring streams and quiet brooks, small homesteads and sprawling ranches, all within an hour's drive.

Description:
Cripple Creek is an historic mining town in the shadow of Pikes Peak with 19 local casinos, housed in 1890’s buildings.

Cripple Creek was being considered as the capitol of Colorado back in the 1800’s and was home to over 50,000 people. In 1896 two fires wiped out the business district, forcing the city council to mandate all buildings be built of brick in the business district.

From the entrance to Cripple Creek, you can see over 200 miles and many mountain ranges. We offer easy working conditions for film crews.

Description:
Nestled between the 14,000-foot Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs is a charming village surrounded by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It is an area that was sacred to the Native Americans and was developed by William J. Palmer and Dr. Bell as a health resort, the "Saratoga of the West." The mineral waters were used by the Native Americans and the turn-of-the-century health seekers. Today, ten of these springs still flow freely. The town is filled with Victorian, European and western architecture in both its downtown area, a National Historic District, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Manitou Springs is four miles west of Colorado Springs and 60 miles south of Denver.

Description:
Park County encompasses 2,200 square miles in the center of Colorado with minimal contemporary development. Four mountain ranges define the perimeter of Park County, consisting mainly of public lands. The Platte Canyon area contains vast evergreen forests bisected by meandering streams. In contrast, the southern end of the county is characterized by remnant volcanoes, granite spires and precipitous river canyons. The western half of the county is an expansive grassland basin at 9,000 feet known as South Park. The county contains working cattle ranches, 19th-century homesteads and historic mining and railroad structures against a variety of scenic backdrops.

Description:
Salida, Buena Vista, and Poncha Springs are romantic names whose origins are rooted in Chaffee County's colorful past. The area has a mix of Spanish, mining and railroading influences. The Denver and Rio Grande Railroad serves Salida, Buena Vista and Poncha Springs, 1880's mining towns. Salida and Buena Vista exhibit charming turn-of-the-century Victorian architecture.

The county has the highest concentration of 14,000-foot peaks of any county in the country. The world-class waters of the Arkansas River draw kayakers and rafters to the area each summer. In the winter, Monarch Ski Area attracts thousands of skiers.
